A JUNIOR football team have been raising money to donate much-needed supplies to patients at Crosshouse Hospital during the coronavirus pandemic.

Saltcoats Victoria captain Gavin Sim decided to fundraise in order to provide some essential items to those in Crosshouse.

This of course included a few sweet treats too.

Supplies such as hand soap, wipes, toothbrushes and deodorant were among the items handed over by the League Two club, along with a few sweet treats..

Some patients were also gifted with puzzle books, such as sudoku, as well as pens to keep their brains active while receiving treatment in hospital.

Now the club are asking more locals to get involved and help the Ayrshire hospital.

A club spokesperson said: “We are looking for any small donation or if anyone could provide some goodies like things in the photo.

“If anyone can assist in any way please get in touch for further details.”
