FIREFIGHTERS tackled a Saltcoats blaze over the weekend involving refuse.
Emergency services rushed to a residential building on Canal Street at 8.35pm on Friday, May 1.
Three Scottish Fire and Rescue appliances were used to put out the flames.
One person was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.35pm on Friday, May 1 to reports of a fire at a residential building on Canal Street, Saltcoats.
"Three fire appliances were mobilised to the scene, where crews extinguished a fire involving a quantity of refuse within a ground-floor landing.
"One casualty was given a precautionary check by paramedics at the scene. The last fire appliance left the scene at 9.33pm."
