A 16-year-old has been reported for the incident.
A teenager has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for crashing a car into a fence on Mayfield Road earlier today.
The driver was only 16-years-old and therefore not legally allowed to be driving a car on UK roads.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: "Around 10.20 am on Wednesday, 6 May, 2020, a car crashed through a fence in Mayfield Road, Saltcoats.
"The 16-year-old male youth will be the subject of a report to the PF in connection with alleged road traffic offences."
"No-one was injured as a result of the incident."
