Grass cutting will start back up again across North Ayrshire parks this week.

A reduced service focusing on trimming the grass in parks and promenade areas will start this week [Monday, May 25] ahead of lockdown measures being eased.

North Ayrshire Council thanked residents for their patience, after staff were redeployed to other services, with services to be resumed in phases.

A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “A reduced grounds maintenance service will resume this week. The plan is to do this in phases. “The first phase will focus on public parks and promenade areas.

"This will ensure when lockdown measures are eased and people can sit in and enjoy our parks, it will be suitable to do so.

"We appreciate everyone's patience on this matter.”
