Police are still on the hunt for a driver after a high speed chase in Stevenston.
Officers attempted to arrest the man for various road offences when he drove off in a blue Renault Clio at speed on Hayocks Avenue at around 8pm on Wednesday, May 27.
A police helicopter was also mobilised for the search, but with the driver still managing to evade officers.
The car was later found dumped in Kilwinning by police with officers continuing to try and trace the driver.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.15pm on Wednesday, 27 May, 2020, a male in a blue Renault Clio drove off from officers at speed on Hayocks Avenue, Stevenston, having been suspected of committing driving offences.
"Air Support was requested to assist the search for the driver and car.
"The car was later found abandoned in the Kilwinning area.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace the male."
