A PRIMARY school in Prestwick has been given a glowing report after an inspection with scores of ‘very good’ across the board.

Glenburn Primary was commended for its commitment to securing positive outcomes for children, in a report by Education Scotland.

Inspectors visited the school earlier this year,and highlighted the school’s vision ‘To Be the Best That We Can Be’, as helping children achieve their goals.

Teachers were credited with their well-planned learning experiences and high-quality learning and teaching.

Inspectors noted that pupils were “capable, articulate children, who are motivated and eager to learn. Attainment in literacy and numeracy was also classed has ‘very good’.

The parent council were also highlighted, as being very supportive of the school.

Linda Cairns, head teacher said: “I would like to thank staff across the school for their continued hard work, passion and commitment

“Most importantly to the wonderful children of Glenburn. Thank you for working hard and striving to be the best that you can be.

“We could not be prouder of you.”
