Police have launched a manhunt after a man was assaulted by three thugs in Kilbirnie.
The 40-year-old was taken to Crosshouse after the group attacked him on Holmhead at around 1.30am on Saturday, June 20.
The first suspect is described as male, 5ft 7ins tall, of stocky build, in his 30s with light brown short hair and a stubbly beard. He was wearing dark clothing, a top that zipped up with writing on it and a dark baseball cap.
The second suspect is described as male, late 20s, of slim build with light brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt and dark jogging bottoms and was on a bike.
The third suspect is described as male, late 20s, of slim build, with dark hair and was wearing dark clothing.
Detective Sergeant Stephen McCulloch, of Saltcoats CID, said: “We are appealing for anyone with any information which may help with our enquiries and who has not already spoken to us to get in touch.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the victim or the suspects prior to or after the incident to get in touch.”
