BEER gardens are set to return to Ayr next week with businesses prepping to welcome punters back.
Excitement is building ahead of their return on Monday, July 6 as lockdown restrictions are further eased allowing residents to enjoy a fresh pint in the (fingers crossed) sunshine.
The Ayr Advertiser has scouted out some of the best spots that will be gearing up to reopen, with some already taking bookings.
The Fox & The Willow, Ayr
The Carrick Road establishment have moved their beer garden out to the front to limit the necessity for both customers and staff to be inside.
They have been taking bookings via their website, with the maximum number per table capped at six.
The Fox & Willow have also said that walk-ins will be allowed.
The venue has asked guests to stick to the social distancing criteria and government guidelines will be adhered to all times.
Smiths Bar, Ayr
Smiths has always been a favourite spot to spend on a glorious summer’s day.
Its huge beer garden provides a great backdrop for an afternoon with friends, and it’s sure to be popular when it reopens
The beer garden will reopen on a first come first serve basis from Monday, July 6.
Arthur Street Kitchen, Ayr
Arthur Street kitchen boasts a huge outdoor space for punters to enjoy a few drinks.
The impressive beer garden sits right in the heart of the town.
The bar and restaurant announced they will be back on Monday, July 6.
The Buf, Prestwick
Prestwick’s usual buzz will certainly have been missed over the past few months and one spot sure to return with a bang is The Buf.
Right on the main strip of bars and restaurants, the pub has a massive outdoor beer garden that is ready to go from next week.
The Buf have been taking bookings via their website.
The amount of people allowed to book will differ at the weekend, with couples allowed to book Monday to Thursday, but a minimum of four per table at the weekends and a maximum of six.
Tables can be secured with a £30 deposit which is then deducted from the bill, or refunded if £30 isn't spent.
