Two people have been arrested after police raided an address in Ardrossan.
Police turned up in force to an address at McDowall Avenue off of Parkhouse Road just before 3pm today [Monday, June 29] with armed officers seen in attendence.
Police have confirmed a man has since been arrested for alleged involvment in two recent robberies and a woman accused of a breach.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2:50pm, officers acting under warrant, entered a property in McDowall Avenue, Ardrossan and arrested a man and a woman.
"The 31-year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with two robberies and the 29-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a breach.
"Both are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 30.".
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
