A weather warning has been issued for heavy rain forecast tomorrow and Saturday across North Ayrshire.
The MetOffice warned people to expect flooding of some homes and businesses.
Disruption to journeys with roads and train services affected is also expected.
The downpour is estimated to bring 20mm to 30mm of rain across Southwest Scotland, and as much as 60mm on high ground.
Torrential rain over the last two weeks caused widespread flooding, including submerging a whole street in Saltcoats, ruining homes and wrecking cars.
Last week, lightning struck two homes in the Three Towns, starting a fire in one and leaving them with collapsed roofs.
South and East Ayrshire are also affected.
