The Auchinleck Community Development Initiative are sending round activity packs to keep kids engaged in Auchinleck, Muirkirk, and Netherthird.

Thanks to the Scottish Government’s Wellbeing Fund, the ACDI are giving their ‘Garden Protector Activity Packs’ free-of-charge to families who request them via their website.

The packs are available to families with children who are in the E.C.C. or P1, P2 or P3.

The packs will contain the resources for making a fairy house, a bird feeder and growing a cress head.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We have developed activity packs to provide various activities for both rainy and dry days.

“Our team at ACDI have put together video tutorials to allow the children to create along with us while developing fine motor skills and lateral thinking in a fun manner.

“We understand the importance of learning about nature at a young age for future health and wellbeing.

“This activity pack provides hours of entertainment and education for our young citizens!”

Families who live in Auchinleck should sign-up for packs using the link http://www.auchinleckcdi.co.uk/activity-packs or by scanning the QR code in the image above.

NCAT will be dealing with the distribution of the activity packs in Netherthird.

Families in Muirkirk should request a pack from one of the following shops: Family Shopper on Pagan Walk, Londis (Toll Garage) in Smallburn or Today’s on Main Street.
