Pair charged with making cash from crime after police search caravan parks
Police have arrested a man and a woman after searching properties in caravan parks in Ayr.
Officers searched one property in Crofthead Caravan Park and another in Craig Tara Holiday Park on Friday, July 10.
A man, aged 40, was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences and offences under Proceeds of Crime Act.
A woman, aged 70, was arrested and charged in connection with offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Police in Lanarkshire carried out searches as part of the same operation including properties located in Bell Grove, Carluke, Glenlee Street, Hamilton, Cordiner Court, Lesmahagow and Penman Avenue, Rutherglen.
Both have been released on bail to appear at court at a later date.
