Drugs were stolen during a raid on a town centre pharmacy this afternoon.
The robbery was reported at around 4.20pm today [Tuesday, July 21], with no one injured during the incident at Boots pharmacy.
Police remain at the scene with a spokesperson confirming enquiries are ongoing into a robbery.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a robbery that took place within a pharmacy on High Street, Irvine, around 4.20pm on Tuesday, 21 July, 2020.
"Nobody was injured and medication was stolen.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
