Now entering the 3rd year Garnock Valley Carves is set to be another great chainsaw carving event. Our main sponsor; is again J&D Pierce and we have also received fantastic help from the Lottery and North Ayrshire Council.
A CELEBRATION of chainsaw carving could still be coming back to the Garnock Valley this year as lockdown eases across the area.
Now entering its third year, the Garnock Valley Carves event is planned to take place in the Manse Field in Beith on Saturday, September 12 from 10am until 5pm.
Organiser Norrie Brown said: “All very much depends on the lifting of the current restrictions. We are hopeful that, come September, and as our event takes place in a very large outdoor area, we will be allowed to run.
“We recommend that all visitors arrive with face coverings, however we will have some available together with hand sanitizer for use on the day.”
All carvings would be auctioned at the end of the day, with some pre-carved items for sale.
As well as the carving demonstrations, 50 additional stalls and stands, would be in place plus lots of free activities and hands-on involvement.
Attractions include face painting, story telling, outdoor play area, a traction engine, model railway, static display engines, Ice cream, sweets and Braveheart Axe Throwing
