A 31-year-old man will be reported for alleged drugs supply after a police raid in Saltcoats.

A home was raided in Ashdale Avenue, Saltcoats at about 12.30pm on Thursday, July 30 with officers recovering a quantity of 'white powder'.

Police confirmed the 31-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for allegedly being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Chief Inspector Brian Shaw, Area Commander in North Ayrshire said: "A significant amount of white powder and other items have been seized during this search. These items will now be the subject of analysis.

"We will do all we can to disrupt and detect those involved in the supply of drugs. We rely on the support of the public in doing so and I would encourage anyone with information on those involved in crime in the area to call us."
