A man has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car while he was riding a bike in Kilwinning.
Emergency services rushed to Nethermains Road near the junction with Blacklands Avenue at around 6.43pm last night.
Paramedics treated the cyclist at the scene before he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed while the incident was dealth with.
The driver of the vehicle was breathalysed and enquiries were carried out before the collision was deemed an accident.
Nobody was charged in relation to the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "[At] about 6.43pm on October, 6 2020, police received a call regarding a cyclist hit by a vehicle.
"The driver of the vehicle was breathalysed, enquiries were carried out and the collision was deemed an accident, no persons were charged."
