Nicola Sturgeon throws her say into Govan vs Kelvinbridge Subway stop debate

In an online poll named 'The World Cup of Glasgow Subway Stops', the people of Scotland were asked to name their favourite stop out of eight stations. 

Author Ross Sayers included Kelvinbridge, Kelvinhall, Buchanan St & Hillhead drawing them against Partick, St George's Cross, St Enoch and Govan.

The First Minister called upon "all South Siders" to take their vote as she favoured the Govan in its draw-up over Kelvinbridge.

Despite her efforts, Kelvinbridge took the lead by a narrow 3.4 per cent as 51.7 per cent of voters crowned the West End station as their favourite.

A surprised Ross Sayers Tweeted: T"he FM urging her one million plus followers to vote for Govan (aka the Slushie capital of Scotland) to take out the bookies favourite Kelvinbridge was not, and I cannot stress this enough, on my 2020 bingo card.

"Good to have you aboard though, FM, I'll send you a copy of the book?"

Ross' book 'Daisy on the Outer Line' is being released next month.
