A DALRY man admitted breaching his bail order after being caught by coppers out partying at 2am.
Ashley Stone, 24, pled guilty to a charge of not being present in his bail address at Lynn Avenue after police had attended to check he was remaining home between 7pm and 7am.
When he appeared from custody last week [Monday, October 5], the court heard police attended a party on Sunday, October 4 and were met by the occupier of the property who then invited them in.
Police then met the accused, checked his details, confirming Stone was on a bail curfew for another matter, which had been granted on July 31 and September 14.
Stone was then cautioned and charged by officers.
When he appeared in the dock last week his defence solicitor said his client “had never been to prison and had few convictions’.
He added that there was only two other people in the house at the time, with Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane stating ‘that doesn’t matter’.
Sheriff McFarlane granted bail and warned Stone he would face being remanded if he “pushed the boat too far”.
Sentencing was deferred while reports are prepared for the court.
