Mini-kickers in Kilbirnie have been kitted out with new strips and the team want to say a big thanks to two very supportive business owners
The girls team at Kilbirnie Community Football Club [KCFC] were presented with the new gear thanks to business owners Mary and Robert Crawford at The Lunch Box café in Kilbirnie.
Manager/coach Tommy Burns said: “We are delighted to have our local business owners Mary and Robert Crawford sponsor our Girls U8s minis football team for KCFC Storm.
“We began back in March before lock down then nothing for five months.
“We were not sure if the kids would return to training, but surprisingly our numbers have grown to 30 girls.
“The girls played a wee game on Saturday at the Vale park, Kilbirnie and they loved it. Our youngest is five years old and they are all little angels.
“Massive thanks to The Lunch Box café here in Kilbirnie who helped buy all our little Mini Footballers strips.
Without them we just couldn’t have done this and made so many kids very happy, also thanks to all our amazing coaches giving up there time to coach the Girls from u8s to u13s.
