Woman, 53, and man, 19, shot at as police probe gun incident
Two people were reportedly shot at in the early hours of the morning with police probing the incident in Beith.
Police confirmed a firearm was allegedly discharged at a woman aged 53 and 19-year-old male just after 1am - with no one injured in the incident in Hawthorn Crescent.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of an alleged firearm being discharged towards a 53-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man on Hawthorn Crescent, Beith.
"The incident happened around 1.15am on Thursday, 3 December.
"Nobody was injured and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
