This is the moment Roger the badger runs back to his burrow after suffering life threatening injuries before Christmas.
Roger had been caught in a snare and as a result his neck was badly injured and he was unable to eat.
But the dedicated team at Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre spent weeks helping him get back to full health.
And on Monday afternoon Roger was released to the area where they had found him.
Gay Christie of Hessilhead said: "He was very underweight and we think he had been caught in a snare as his neck was badly injured.
"With his neck being injured he would be unable to forage for food and that is why he was so underweight.
"But over the last eight weeks he has recovered and it was time to return him to the area where her was found."
