AN AWARD-WINNING Three Towns takeaway and restaurant looks set for a complete refurbishment and an extension, if plans are approved.
An application for alterations and the extension to the rear of Motherland Spice restaurant in Bradshaw Street, Saltcoats was submitted last week.
And Motherland Spice boss Madhav Bhandari told the Herald he has grand plans to transform the popular restaurant’s interior – as well as bring in new staff in to increase the quality of the cuisine.
He said: “We are extending the restaurant and basically we’re doing everything, front back, restaurant, the kiosks, tables and private function area.
“We are also planning on getting new people to work with me – some will be coming from India, some from Dubai some from Nepal for cooking.
“I want everything to be perfect, the quantity, the quality and the timing in the restaurant.”
