Two Ardrossan men have been arrested for multiple offences following a disturbance on Glasgow Street in Ardrossan.
Police rushed to an address on the street yesterday morning where a 41-year-old and a 26-year-old were arrested for culpable and reckless conduct, possession of an offensive weapon, assault and resisting arrest.
Officers have stressed that during the incident there was no wider threat to the community.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police can confirm that at 9.30am on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, they received reports of a disturbance on Glasgow Street, Ardrossan.
"Police attended and two Ardrossan men aged 41 and 26 were arrested for multiple offences including Culpable and Reckless conduct, possession of an offensive weapon, assault and resisting arrest.
"During the incident there was no wider threat to the local community and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
