Two people were taken to Crosshouse Hospital yesterday after a major road traffic collision on the A78 near Stevenston.
Emergency services raced to the scene after a car flipped on to its roof following a three-vehicle crash on the approach to the Pennyburn Roundabout.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service, said: “We received a call at 10.49am on Tuesday, February 16, to attend a road traffic collision near Stevenson.
"Ambulances and our special operations response team attended the incident.
"Two patients were transported to Crosshouse Hospital.”
