Ardrossan Community Development Trust (ACDT) is urging residents to get behind the next stage of the Ardrossan Connections project.

The trust is working alongside North Ayrshire Council and Sustrans Scotland to deliver the project which aims to enhance walking, cycling and wheeling routes, and shape a more accessible, safe and welcoming town centre.

More than 200 online comments online and 150 postal surveys were received after the initial request for comments. The project team have now put together a virtual walking audit to help them gather feedback and comments on infrastructure, accessibility and safety at specific locations in Ardrossan.

They would also like to hear about the barriers to walking, wheeling, cycling and spending time in these areas that residents encounter.

On their website, a video takes residents on a tour of the selected locations and asks about safety concerns, signage and surface conditions.

Comments can be emailed to cat.wright@sustrans.org.uk.
