ARDROSSAN fitness fanatic John Clark is training himself to be at peak fitness to take on a tough burpee challenge next month.
John, 41, who is a part time fitness instructor is on a mission to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. He has set himself a fundraising target of £1,500 for the charity which is the only UK charity dedicated to research in to bone cancer.
“Two years ago I grew my hair, dyed it black and had it shaved for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and thought it was time to do something else, “ said John.
“We all know people who have been affected by cancer and I would like to try and help this charity.”
The Semi-Chem worker admits that completing one burpee is a challenge let alone 2,000 but he is determined to get the work done.
“I enjoy cycling and doing my weight training and I put my clients through their paces every week on Zoom so I know burpees are tough.
