Outspoken talkSPORT pundit Adrian Durham claims an unbeaten Rangers season will be the biggest achievement in Scottish football history, outdoing Celtic's Invincibles and quadruple Treble success.

The opinionated presenter congratulated Steven Gerrard and his troops on their Premiership victory and hailed their domestic form as they are one match away from an unbeaten league campaign.

Gers were dropped into the Third Division after their financial troubles in 2012 and Durham points to the fact that they've come from the bottom to enjoy this year's accomplishments. Which is why he notes this term's successes above anything Celtic have achieved in recent years.

"Rangers are obviously champions in Scotland, that has happened," he told talkSPORT. "And they could seal an unbeaten season as champions and will seal it if they avoid defeat at home to Aberdeen on Saturday lunch-time.

"They won 3-0 against Livingston in their penultimate game and I want to say this: It's not just the fact that they've won the title, that's fantastic for Rangers, it's all they've wanted to get back to the very top of Scottish football after the years in the wilderness, and Steven Gerrard has led them there.

"For Rangers to go unbeaten, if this happens, less than a decade of being in the fourth-tier of Scottish football, where they lost to Stirling Albion, where they lost to Peterhead, where they lost to Annan athletic, for them to go from the fourth tier to an unbeaten title winning season in less than a decade is the biggest ever achievement in Scottish domestic football bar none.

"You can have your Celtic invincible season, trebles season, you can have what you want, did they do it less than a decade after being in the fourth tier? No. It's a club that's been completely ripped apart, put back together, it's had to go through four managers to get to where they are from the fourth tier and look where they are, back at the very top.

"On top of that Steven Gerrard is about to lead them to an unbeaten season. I challenge anybody to deny what I've just said there."

Durham is not shy of a controversial opinion or two regarding Scottish football and the shock-jock pundit recently demanded the Hoops be docked points for their handling of Boli Bolingoli's quarantine breach earlier this season.
