Sniffer dogs have been deployed and police are present at Auchenharvie Leisure Centre in Stevenston today as the search for missing teen Jamie Cannon continues.
Yesterday (May 28) marked one week since the 19-year-old from Saltcoats was reported missing, prompting police to make an extra appeal for information on his whereabouts.
Jamie was last seen on Thursday, May 20, on Kinnier Road around 10am, and has not been seen or heard from since, which is very out of character.
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "The police dogs are working in that area as part of the search for Jamie Cannon, and enquiries are still ongoing to trace him."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1623 of 22 May.
