A child has been taken to hospital after being struck by a mobility scooter in West Kilbride.
The incident happened on Main Street at around 3.20pm this afternoon.
The child was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Bus services through the street were temporarily closed as emergency services attended the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a two-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a mobility scooter on Main Street in West Kilbride around 3.20pm on Thursday, 3 June.
"The child has been taken to hospital as a precaution."
