Two lorries crashed on the A737 near Beith this morning causing the road to close for several hours whilst emergency services dealt with the recovery of the vehicles.
The road remained closed until 10.15 am as police attended the incident at the Head Street area this morning.
Road users are now being advised that the road has now reopened for traffic.
There were no reports of serious injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.40 am on Tuesday, June 8, officers were called to the Head Street area of Beith, following a report of a road crash involving two heavy goods vehicles. As a result, the A737 has been closed at the Manrahead roundabout whilst recovery is arranged. There are no reported serious injuries. It reopened around 10.15am."
