WORK has started on giving Saltcoats Bandstand a makeover.
Three weeks ago scaffolding went up around the bandstand with preparatory work carried out last week.
Councillor Jim Montgomerie pushed for the bandstand to be given the makeover to give the Saltcoats end of the promenade a boost.
The councillor said: “It was around six months ago when I met officers at the site and we ran through what was needing done to the bandstand.
“I was running past it daily and it was looking tired but hopefully work will be complete in the next few weeks and we can enjoy the newly painted bandstand.”
