PUPILS at St Peter’s Primary have been working hard with their families to help learn more about the environment of the area where they live.
The pupils were working towards their John Muir Award with the help of North Ayrshire Council Family Learning Worker Carol Young.
Each week the pupils and their families would head to Eglinton Park or along the Ardrossan shoreline and carry out a small study of their chosen area which included playing games and carrying out research.
The awards are in honour of John Muir who is considered the godfather of conservation in the States and awards were presented to Holly Smyth and Kyle Caldwell seen here with Head Teacher Mrs Dunne and Carol Young.
