A reckless motorist in North Ayrshire was caught travelling at almost three times the speed limit on Saturday.
Ayrshire Road Police were on the A736 near Burnhouse monitoring speeds when the racer zoomed on by.
Cops stopped the vehicle and the driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On 19th June - Ayrshire RP were out checking speeds on the A736 at Burnhouse, North Ayrshire and stopped a driver travelling at 88mph in the 30mph limit.
"Speeds like this are dangerous and irresponsible.
"The driver was reported to the PF for dangerous driving.
