Clubs across Ayrshire’s youth football community have been awarded bespoke UEFA Euro 2020 Glasgow Club Legacy Packs which will play a role in nurturing the region’s next generation of Scotland greats.
In recognition of displaying excellent community links, Ayrshire sides Tass Thistle Girls, Galston YFC 2010s, Troon Thistle, Whitletts Victoria in the Community FC have secured UEFA Euro 2020 equipment, such as balls, bibs and goals, to enhance the provision of grassroots football in the area.
To celebrate Glasgow’s role as one of the 11 host cities, the Scottish FA teamed up with Glasgow Life to release 50 individual UEFA Euro 2020 Glasgow Club Legacy Packs to enhance the provision of grassroots football activities in Scotland.
Commenting on the packs, Sir Alex Ferguson said “Lockdown has been a difficult time for all of us but for kids especially. It’s an important part of qualifying to make sure that it has a direct benefit to young people.”
The TASS 2016 and 2015 sessions will continue during the summer holidays and they will be cost free from mid-June until schools return in August. For more information please email secretary@tassthistlefc.co.uk.
