Brand new communal barbeque units have begun to appear in Eglinton Country Park - just in time for the Scottish heatwave!
The big green BBQs have a raised metal area to cook trays from whilst relieving the pressure of those responsible for fire safety in the park.
Situated around the park in various locations, the BBQs have been designed to host a safe and secure environment for those who want to safely try out some alfresco dining this summer without risking a wildfire or damaging the environment with disposable BBQs.
The units have been funded by NatureScot Better Places Fund to support communities and destinations, and develop plans for pro-active visitor management in nature 'hot spot' locations across Scotland.
Will you be trying out the new BBQs?
