Kilwinning Burns Club’s outgoing club president Scott Gallacher congratulates his successor Iain McPhail on officially taking over the role at the club’s recent AGM.

Under normal circumstances the club’s president does a two year term, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the outgoing president had stayed in office for a third year.

Scott said: “I wish Iain all the very best for his time as president. A lot of different types of clubs have went to the wall during the past 16 months, but fortunately we are still in a healthy position, and Iain is well placed to be the man at the helm when our functions and meetings are back to being live, and not held via Zoom.

“It has seemed like an eternity since we all properly sat down in person, and I know all club members are looking forward to that happening.”
