From tasty fruit and veg to handbags, purses and a few food vans on site such as Ayrshire's wee fish van, head down for a browse and a bite and you won't be disappointed. In Search Of The South West, Cumnock

This exhibition in the Baird Institute aims to capture the essence of the local area in 50 photographs. Photographers Willie Lee and Jim Johnstone embark on a photographic exploration of the natural and man-made beauties of the South West corner of Scotland, with photographs encompassing imagery from some well-known sites around the Ayrshire and Galloway coasts to some of the lesser known hidden gems of the area. Find out more here.

Then get down to Doonbank Cottage where you can find out about bee keeping, how the bees make honey and who lives in the hive, alongside a wide range of other interesting facts. You'll also be able to dress up in beekeeping gear, get up close and personal with the insects and at the end of the day, take home your very own simple beeswax candle. Ever wondered what it was like to conquer one of the world's largest whirlpools? Well this exhibition taking place at Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine is sure to offer you the full immersive experience. Follow the adventure of four friends as they paddle 394 miles around the islands of North West Norway in the Arctic Circle and overcome fierce challenges in this exhibition which celebrates the 40th anniversary of Scotland’s first major sea kayaking expedition.
