THE first youth festival for young people who have assisted learning needs is to be held at Kilwinning Sports Club this week.

As part of the North Ayrshire Youth Festival currently touring towns in the area, it was decided to host a free festival for young people who have assisted learning needs.

And they are in for a ball as there is a host of fun activities planned for the all day festival on Wednesday, August 11 from sporty games to fashion design and a silent disco.

The young people from North Ayrshire Youth Services decided to take the festival on tour along with the new look mobile youth centre which has visited Irvine, Kilwinning, Largs and will be at Ardrossan Community Sports Hub this Thursday, August 5 before heading to Kilbirnie on August 6. Everything is free.
