THE 40 residents of South Beach Care Home may have a stunning view of the beach across from them but no one has ever been able to enjoy a stroll along it - that is until now.
On Saturday as the team from Ardrossan Community Development Trust was setting up for their public engagement event at South Beach, chairperson Scott Mould was approached by a worker at the home when she spied the wheelchair beach buggy being taken out of a van.
Scott explained: “The woman told us that the residents would love to go on the sand but most were unable to do so and the buggy would help and when I asked how many could use it, she quickly replied, ‘all 40 of them’.”
