North Ayrshire Ice Hockey Club have launched their new Learn to Play initiative for children in Ayrshire.

The club are taking names now for 5-12 year olds to join The Rookie Revolution at Auchenharvie Ice Rink, Stevenston.

The great team of fully qualified coaches will teach all the basics of skating and the skills needed to play the game. Beginners will work their way through three levels before being invited to join one of the successful Junior teams.

The club is also starting their mini-gliders class on September 4, for three and four year olds where they give parents and children the opportunity to experience being on the ice and having fun while teaching the children to skate before they discover their love of ice hockey and progress onto their Rookie Revolution sessions.

Chairman, Scott Campbell said “Our focus is always FUN and ENJOYMENT with the hope that we can encourage as many as possible to stay in the sport. We are very fortunate to have the best ice rink in Ayrshire, a great team of volunteers and teams at all age groups offering a pathway right up to the adults in the Scottish National League”.

Ice hockey is a great character-builder for children so don’t miss out, contact our admin team on naihcltp@gmail.com to book your place and join the “ROOKIE REVOLUTION”

The club are currently back at training at all age groups and would welcome any players who are interested in joining any of their teams to get in touch as they look to build on their teams for the coming season.
