Council bosses have apologised over brown bin collections with staff currently self-isolating.
North Ayrshire Council admitted several of its brown bin runs are behind schedule due to staffing and will be working on Saturday to catch up.
A spokesperson said: "Due to a number of staff self-isolating combined with higher than normal brown bin tonnages, some of our brown bin collection rounds are running behind this week.
"We aim to return the next day, but will be working this Saturday (September 11) to catch up.
"Other services (grey, blue and purple bins) are unaffected.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
