THE search is on to find volunteers in North Ayrshire who dedicate their time to helping others for a new award scheme.

The Ayrshire Community Trust, TACT, is looking for nominations for volunteers who have given up more than 25 hours of their time to help a group in the area.

The categories are: The Bronze Award for those who volunteer between 25 and 49 hours; The Silver Award for those who volunteer between 50 and 99 hours and The Gold Award for those who volunteer between 100 and 199 hours. The Platinum is for anyone who has volunteered for over 200 hours, while the Palladium for anyone who has volunteered for over 200 hours and shown and outstanding contribution.

A spokesperson for TACT said: “This Award has been designed to recognise the hours that volunteers contribute to our local area and volunteers are able to get a certificate when they have completed 25 hours or more. The award is open to people in the area who are over 25 years of age.”
