A helicopter was called out to assist a stricken walker who fell whilst out on the Ayrshire coast yesterday.
The man was walking on Arran near Millstone Point around midday where he fell and sustained multiple injuries.
Arran Mountain Rescue rushed to help the injured man, who is said to have hurt his face and suffered a broken arm.
Fortunately, a doctor and paramedic were able to assist the man with medication and to ease his pain somewhat before being stretchered onto the helicopter.
The Arran Mountain Rescue Team posted the following on their Facebook page: "The team were called out at approximately 1250hrs this afternoon to assist a male walker who had taken a fall at millstone point sustaining a face injury and a possible broken arm.
"He was treated by the team doctor and paramedic, given pain relief and packaged in our stretcher for onward transportation to hospital by Rescue 199.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
