THE deadline for youth groups to apply for £1,000 funding is fast approaching for groups in North Ayrshire.

The funding is open to any group in the Three Towns, the Garnock Valley and Arran as well as Kilwinning and Irvine with the stipulation that it helps young people make a difference within their community.

The areas eligible for funding area: health and wellbeing, poverty and inequality, digital connections and voice and participation.

Once the applications are submitted it will be up to young people in North Ayrshire to vote for which groups receive the funding and can get started.

They will be given a list of finalists and then have to vote for which project is worthy of being given the go ahead and the £1,000 grant to get it off the ground.

The judges will have to decide which of the nominated projects has the biggest impact on the communities.

Groups who have an idea for a project can apply until October 16 by pitching their idea through an

application form found at forms.office.com/r/JLe51qFnHa.
