Community volunteers from Ardrossan have received funding from a supermarket to support the purchase of two new punch bags.
Asda’s Bringing Communities Back Together fund will cover the cost of the new equipment which will be used at the Barony St. John Centre to help deliver community classes in McMillan Boxfit, Krav Maga, and Close Combat at the Scottish Centre for Personal Safety. They were also awarded funding to deliver a community open day next spring.
They were presented a cheque.
David, from Asda Irvine, is pictured presenting a cheque to ScotCPS volunteers Yvette Robertson, Alan Bell and Steven Grant with Jodie the guide dog.
Alan, founder, said: “Many thanks to Asda for helping us reconnect with our local community after the hard Covid-restrictions 2020 year we had.”
