The 17-year-old man was with a friend walking along Peden Avenue near St Margaret's Avenue at around 8.20pm on Saturday night, when he became involved in an altercation with another man which resulted in him being stabbed.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he was treated and has since been discharged.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft in height, of large build, and has blond hair.

Detective Constable Ross Keenan said: "Peden Avenue at St Margaret's Avenue is residential and I am sure people there, especially at this time of the night, would have either seen or heard the attack.
