A crowdfunder page has been launched to raise money for the family of Sean McKay, who was stabbed to death on a street in Dalry on Sunday evening [October 10].
Mr McKay, 23, was fatally stabbed for 'absolutely no reason' in an act of violence in what police described as simply being in the 'same place as the man at the same time.'
The crowdfunding page has already raised over £2,900 with the money aiming to support the young father's family who was 'murdered on his way home from work.'
According to the page, those behind it are friends of the McKay family who "I wanted to do this to give Sean the send-off he deserves."
It describes the fatal incident on Sean as a "vicious attack".
The crowdfunder continues: "He leaves behind his partner Chloe and their young son Oscar.
"His Mum Debbie, her husband John his father Glenn and his devoted sisters are devastated.
Sean comes from a big family but I wanted to do this to give Sean the send-off he deserves. Gone too soon and for being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
