THE group behind a bid to bring back Saltcoats’ outdoor pool has decided on the name The Saltcoats Outdoor Splash Group.
The small group, made up of Irene Campbell, Councillor Jim Montgomerie and Herald reporter Lorraine Howard, has now formed its constitution and are set to apply for funding for a feasibility study.
Councillor Montgomerie said: “We have now decided on a name, Splash, and we have formed a constitution to allow us to apply for funding for the feasibility study.
“This will give us an idea of the lay of the land, or the water in this case.
“From the side of the old site you can see the old pool but it would be great to be able to secure the funding, get the study done and let the community make a splash again.”
