The Three Towns' newest curry house and pakora bar have pushed back its opening date by a month due to "unforeseen circumstances".

A stone's throw from St Matthew's Academy, Curry on the Corner, was due to open on November 1 following the extensive renovation of the old Corran Inn restaurant premises.

However, it was announced today that it will now open on December 1, due to circumstances "beyond their control."

They are currently contacting bookings for the special evening and rescheduling for the new date.

A spokesperson for the Saltcoats restaurant said: "Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances outwith our control we have had to move our opening date to Wednesday 1st December. We sincerely apologise to customers who have already booked in November.

"We have been in touch with all of you who have booked and a large number of you have moved your bookings forward which is great thank you!

"If you wish to move your booking or make a new booking please get in touch with us via messenger as spaces are filling up fast.

"Thank you everyone for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you in December!"

After previewing with the original name Singhs, Three Towners united in their love for 'Curry on the Corner' and it was swiftly changed back.

As well as releasing a sneak preview of their new menu, from pakora sharing platters to a fusion of classic tandoori dishes and chef specials, there will be 'old skool ruby murrys' to keep the curry die-hards happy.

Tables can be booked on the restaurant's Facebook, and they have warned that the first tables at the hotly anticipated launch are going fast.
