A man was found with injuries near the Springvale Street area of Saltcoats around lunchtime today. 

The 37-year-old was discovered around 1.30pm this afternoon. 

He has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries. 

The street around Argyle Road and Springvale Street has been cordoned off by police whilst investigations take place. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.25pm on Tuesday, 23 November, officers were called to the Argyle Road area of Saltcoats, following the report of a 37-year-old man being found with injuries.

"He was been taken to hospital and enquiries into the incident are at an early stage.”
